RESEARCH & INNOVATION

We don't just teach technology.

We study how young people learn it, build with it, and belong within it.

Project LEDO explores how young people—particularly those from communities historically excluded from technology—develop the knowledge, confidence, curiosity, and sense of belonging needed to understand the systems shaping their world and participate in building what comes next.

01 · QUESTIONS THAT DRIVE OUR WORK

We start with questions, not answers.

These are the questions we are actively investigating through our programs. Select one to see the research area it belongs to.

03 · WHERE PRACTICE BECOMES RESEARCH

Every program is an opportunity to learn—not only for our students, but for us.

Our programs and our research do not exist separately. Our classrooms, community programs, technology projects, student experiences, and partnerships generate questions and learning that improve how we design future experiences.

04 · FROM USING TECHNOLOGY TO UNDERSTANDING IT

We prepare young people to understand technological systems, not to complete isolated activities.

05 · RESEARCH WITH COMMUNITIES

Research with communities, not on communities.

Project LEDO believes meaningful research should recognize young people, families, educators, and communities as contributors to knowledge—not simply subjects of study.

06 · RESEARCH PARTNERSHIPS

A research ecosystem, not a logo wall.

We're interested in working with researchers, institutions, communities, and technology leaders who are asking important questions about young people, technology, learning, and belonging.

09 · CONNECTION TO OUR MISSION
UNDERSTAND→BUILD→LEAD

Technology is our medium. Belonging is our purpose.

MISSION

Our mission is to prepare young people from communities historically excluded from technology to understand the systems shaping their world, build with the technologies shaping our future, and lead with the confidence that they belong in both.

VISION

A future where every young person has the opportunity to understand, build, and lead with technology.
