LEGO robotics
An after- school program to inspire young, underrepresented, and marginalized students between the ages of 8 to 14 to be science and technology leaders.
Through an interactive LEGO building experience, children are engaged in exciting mentor and volunteer-based programs that teach engineering and technology skills.
The program seeks to inspire innovation and to foster well-rounded life skills such as self-confidence, communication, and leadership capabilities.
Provides a safe and fun environment where students can develop a natural curiosity toward science and they will be able to see themselves as young scientists and professionals later in their life.
Courses are held 1-2 times a week for sixty minutes over the term/semester. These classes are tailored to reach students on different skill levels and are culturally inclusive.
Teaches students a variety of skills: communication, problem-solving, creativity, team work, peer support, and critical thinking!
